Mr. Curtis Hough

Mr. Hough grew up in the Los Angeles, California area. He attended Utah State University on an athletic scholarship. Later, he earned his Masters degree from California State University in Educational Leadership. His career in education spanned 32 years in both Utah and California where he taught English IV, World History, U.S. History and Kinesiology. He also coached high school football for many years. In addition, Mr. Hough worked extensively with adolescents who were in trouble with the law, and one school counselor noted that his “sincerity and skills in human relations earned the respect and admiration of … his peers, staff members and the community.” One of his principals added that Mr. Hough “changed the lives of countless students… He brings a rare blend of people skills, empathy, and love for humanity.” Mr. Hough is married and has three children. He converted to Judaism in 2001 and is excited about teaching at the Phoenix Hebrew Academy as the Middle School Humanities Teacher.
